Dear Friends, Today, I tried to attempt one the breathless song by Mohd. Rafi Sahab : Dil Ke Jharoke Mein... There are many song sung breathlessly by this legend !! Rafi Sahab was pioneer in this kind of singing.... Always posed a great challenge for orchestra singers to attempt such songs. Rafi Sahab sang such compositions by controlling the breath and capacity of lungs to hold it. This song. Dil ke Jharoke mein has always been milestone in this song category. Singing fast songs with small wavelengths is a piece of cake for most good singers. However to sing a song of the range of “Dil Ke Jharoke” with variable range and complex lyrics is the hallmark of the Emperor, Rafi Sahab. Hat’s off to him !! Another interesting thing of this song is the mood... Song required to express the feelings of a broken heart hero in the film with bit of anger (in the first 2 lines of stanza) and kind feeling (in the last 2 lines of stanza) that was done in the multiple range and the line in the Mukhra Dil ke Jahroke Mein Tujhko Bithakar, YadoN Ko Teri Mein Dulhan Banakar with the repeat of a short breath was the challenging part for me to sing literally with very little breathing... And this was repeated in the end of the song. Here is my version dedicated to all my YT singer friends.... The great source of inspiration for me is none other than Great Rafi Sahab. After about 9 rounds of practice I completed this version in 10th round in a single go. When you hear the song you cant hear a spec of breath. This is my humble attempt... Hope you will like it.
