Dear Friends and Families of Autumn View: As you may know, our parent company, Bethesda Ministries, supports a charity called One Child Matters. This year, Tim Nye ( our Executive Director) and 19 other of our Directors will be going on a mission trip to Tegucigalpa, Honduras July 8th-13th. During our mission trip we will be renovating our Child Development Center in Barrio el Chile. We would greatly appreciate the support from your family and the community, in any form possible, to help the Honduran children we will be visiting. We have come up with several opportunities for your family to participate in if you would like to support this great cause. Below is a list of events that we will be doing this month: 1) Basket drawings: Summer is here and we have put together (3) different Summer Themed baskets that you could win! We are asking for a $2 donation per ticket, but please know that ANY donation is appreciated, and will enter you into the contest. 2) Clown contest: In the dining room, you and your family will see mason jars with photos of each manager. Residents, Families, and Staff can donate a quarters to vote for the manager they would like to see dressed as a clown for the day. The jar with the most quarters wins! The manager with the most votes will be dressed like a clown on June 26th, the same day as our Cake Walk competition. 3) Cake Walk: On June 26th, we will have a delicious assortment of baked goods from local bakeries. We will then have a “cake walk” in the dining room between 2 and 3pm. It is $2.50 to participate in the “cake walk”. If your family would like to attend that day, we would appreciate you letting us know ahead of time so we have enough treats! 4) CAR WASH: PLEASE visit us on Wednesday June 26th from 3 – 6:30 pm to get your car washed! Our wonderful staff members have volunteered to help wash cars and we would love to see you there! We ask that you donate $5 per car, but any donation is greatly appreciated!
