Dear Friends and Family Dr. Steven George Vrahnos Dr. Steven George Vrahnos of Miami Beach, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at St. Lukes Hospital in New York City from a heart attack. He was 53 years old. A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th from 4PM to 8PM at the Bradley, Smith & Smith Funeral Home, 415 Morris Avenue in Springfield, NJ. A Funeral Service will be on Friday, October 10th at 10AM at St. Stephens Episcopal Church on Main Street in Millburn, NJ. Steven was born December 26, 1960 and graduated from Millburn High School in 1978. He then graduated from Emory University in Atlanta, GA with a BS Degree. Steven worked for several years on Wall Street and got an MBA Degree from NYU. In 1997, Steven moved to Miami Beach, FL to work as a real estate agent. He went back to school and received his Doctor of Pharmacy Degree in 2006. Steven then worked as a pharmacist for CVS until he went on disability due to a heart condition. Steven was also the Miami Chapter fundraiser for Portable Playhouse a charity which benefits children with terminal illnesses. Steven is survived by his husband, Gary Tiimmons, of Miami Beach, FL; his mother, Joan Borneman and step-father, Dr. Edmond Borneman of Short Hills, NJ; his father, Pete Vrahnos of The Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Hackensack, NJ; and his older brother Donald P. Vrahnos of Newton, NJ. In lieu of flowers, Stevens family requests that donations be made to Portable Playhouse theportableplayhouse.org.
