Dear Friends and Supporters of the Beijing LGBT Center, On behalf of all of us at the Beijing LGBT Center, we would like to thank all those who attended and supported our event A Summer of Love! The event was a great success, and together we raised over 37,000 RMB to support our mental health advocacy and counseling services – this is the most funds raised at one event in the 5 year history of the Beijing LGBT Center! The support translates to more than just currency. Your contribution allows us to foster and empower LGBT persons to live their lives to the fullest, so that we have more strong voices and inspiring stories to make our community vibrant. Each time you donate to the LGBT Center, you are participating in the growth of the home for “Tongzhi.” A big thank you goes to all of the businesses who contributed an exciting line-up of gifts, and particularly for providing delicious catering by A Food Affaire, Van Thiel & Co for sponsoring beverages prepared by Kathryn Witbreuk, and our two artists from Nina Griffee Face Painting for making a memorable evening. This summer will be written in history for the advancements in global LGBT equality.
