Dear Friends of Splendors of the World: As I was researching - TopicsExpress

Dear Friends of Splendors of the World: As I was researching links of one of our performers, I ran into this touching blog about the show we had in Croatia this year. My eyes began to water and my heart jumped for joy. The mission of the Splendors of the World Performance (SOTW) is to bring unity in the world through dance and music. The bridges we create as we travel the world will be for people to cross and learn about other people. Through this idea we can embrace each others dances, music, culture and foods. The words of the blogger are an inspiration of a better tomorrow. blog.dnevnik.hr/ (remember this was translated from Croatian to English through my computer-pics of the show are also available on this blog site). Dance spectacle Last night at the Sports Hall in Kostrena near the river, starting at 22.00, took dance spectacle Splendors of the World. Why spectacle .... because there found fabulous dancers from around the world ... in traditional dance costumes, rarely seen, unless you just visit the country. What has amazed me is that all the dancers were smiling and happy .. as there was positive energy, it can not be described in words. Dancing girls and boys, young and old, skinny and chubby .... all equally inspired and beautiful. Each new performance was better than pethodnog and just when you think you can not nicer, came next and reassure you. The most striking costumes were from India and Turkey, and no others were not far behind. As for the choreography, it is difficult to sort out something, because it was all in their own way beautiful. There was phenomenal and dance group from Meral Zageb, which filled our hearts with pride. What I would like to take this opportunity to emphasize that last night, I learned that in Rijeka, more precisely on the laces, The School of classical ballet and modern dance, whose members, in choreographed by Tina Zubovic, performed several dance numbers. There were also dancers Jacobina Arts Capoeira River. Oh, how I was proud of them! What is sad is that I have for the existence of these dance groups learned only in Kostrena, Municipality of Rijeka ring, and not in words. It is sad that Rijeka government has not found it necessary to do more to promote these wonderful young people and give them their rightful place on the main stage of Rijeka. While our mayor Oby deals truljavim carnivals, cultural scene had zero cultural and talented youngsters must first prove to the world stage to get the deserved recognition at home. But to get back to the dancers, not to spoil this beautiful moment, Id like you a few pictures evoke how everything was nice, though the pictures are not even close to what was happening on stage, the music, the rhythm, the movement ... this is something that filled my soul for this whole summer.
