Dear Friends with the grace of god and perseverance of an individual a dream was realized today. Almost 6 years before when the Lesser Florican was almost a non entity for us, A single man labored day in and out for its conservation. Dr Gobind Sagar Bhardwaj(Sir)as he is known to us as willingly took a predicament to not only conserve but to decipher the migration pattern for better conservation of this lesser known specie. Whilst everybody else rotated around tigers he launched an initiative for the Lesser Florican. So as to better understand the avifauna that the state of Rajasthan has to offer. His efforts paid off today when the ever admirable Rajasthan Forest Department along with the assistance of Wildlife Institute of India under the visual documentation of Nalla Muthu Sir captured, tagged and released two floricans today. I was a silent witness when the subtle experts worked and the exuberance later is phenomenal. I feel blessed today with ownership of blessings dedicated to Dr Gobind Sagar Ji whose energy is infectious. Nalla Muthu whose eye is sharper than the regular insight.
