Dear GOD We thank you for this new year, May everyone in the whole world and my family be willing to begin a new and clean slate. We know that you are always ready to forgive us. Please help us to be willing to forgive others and ourselves. As we begin a new year remind us of our truest values and our deepest desires. Help us to live in the goodness that comes from doing what you want us to do. Help us to put aside the anxiety of the past so that we can live in peace with you and ourselves. We ask that this year you deliver us from false friends and treachery. We ask that you make us meek and humble of heart. We ask that you keep us awake and watchful with you. We ask that you give us courage in the time of trial. We ask that we speak truth in the face of injustice. We ask that you keep us faithful in time of temptation. Please have mercy on us sinners and we hope to obtain pardon of our sins. We give you thanks for all the gifts we received from you almighty God and thanks to Jesus Christ who suffered and died for us. In the name of the father and the son and of the holy spirit Amen
