Dear Gibsons Community, Wed like to send out big heartfelt thanks to all who came out to our Save Gibsons Waterfront rally and gathering at the CTK on Saturday! Gibsons truly is an inspired and inspiring community! We estimate at least 150 folks braved the blustery weather to hear speakers and music in the park. Another 100 to 150 people stopped by throughout the day to sign the petition, pick up information, and share in treats and conversations. And they packed the CTK Church hall for a two-hour Q&A session. We were delighted by the turnout and the energy of the crowd. Thank you, Gibsons Community! Among the concerns raised during the Q&A at the CTK, one theme kept recurring: People are troubled by the Town’s refusal to recognize valuable input about the project from either citizens or third-party experts. We urge everyone concerned about the George to show up on Tuesday evenings and let your council members know you have questions that haven’t been adequately addressed.
