Dear Grace this evening at about the same time we will be at Mass - TopicsExpress

Dear Grace this evening at about the same time we will be at Mass we will remember that two years ago today you and a friend were hit by a car... It is unfathomable all that you have endured these past two years. Recovering from a TBI is a most peculiar surreal journey. It has caused us to examine life one breath at a time. At times it is too painful living with such a keen sense of just how fragile we really all are. Too, there is appreciation of the complexity of the human body all the systems involved and the superbly complex Human brain! From the first moments of the accident many people turned to their form of prayer as a way of expressing their love and sorrow. Praying became a way for those near and far away to participating in your healing. Grace I am shameless in asking people to pray, to visualize perfect healing for you. I just know the power of this action to pray, has been the foundation for all the healing that you have worked so hard to achieve. When you emerged from the coma you requested to be prayed with. We would say the Rosary or the Lords Prayer. Your dad would anoint you with blessed oil. I would bless you with holy water... I saw that your prayer life deepened and that your faith became a source of peace during those confusing months... As you begin this new year may you grow in confidence knowing that you have all you need for this journey. May your peace of mind increase and Grace, believe me when I say Gods graces guide and protect you and it is His desire to bring you to the fullness of a happy productive life! They have been many wonderful people who have assisted you this past year. They represent all that is kind and generous among the people in this local community. Your UGA support team has and continues to be wonderful to work with. You have great teachers this semester and are happy to be back on campus. You will continue with your therapies and Dr. appointments and working out at Butts Mehre when not studying and composing music! Still early days in recovery we know, but Grace with gratitude for all that you are able to do and for all the healing occurring daily we say, God is good. (The pictures were taken with sister & cousins at St Matthews Cathedral in DC after the new years day mass. Grace asked Cardinal Wuerl to pray for her brain and her Vision. (I added sleep to the request after.) )
