Dear Grad school, While I am thankful to my core for what I am learning, I want my life back. You now own me and I concede! I am thankful I have no firstborn that I must resign to you as I have given you everything else. You have all my thoughts. You have my worries, you have my free time. You have taken my appetite, dinners are now frozen something or quick bagels. You have taken over my garden, my weeds are growing in your honor. I have forgotten who my family members are. I now say the word cohort in my daily language. My weekends belong to you, I dont remember how to get to the grocery. My bills go unpaid, my dining room table is covered in mail and books and papers. I owe you thousands of dollars. Amazon loves me. my Twitter belongs to you, as my dedication to my studies I tweet for you and follow those in my literature subjects. While I love you, I am buried in your constant desire for attention and energy!! Just remember I do have a job and people I need to pay attention to. I have chores and must take care of myself. That Masters Degree you promise to give me will be worth it, but please go easy on me now...
