Dear Gran, I never once felt like a step grandchild when it came to you. You treated me like your own blood and took me in. All these memories keep replaying in my head. For the little time I lived with you I was beyond spoiled. Every Sunday and Wednesday I loved seeing your beautiful smile and whatever advice you had for me whether it was getting on to me or telling me how proud you were of something I did. I remember a week before my 16th birthday party having to tell you to be nice at my party because you were ready to tell someone about themselves, not that I remember who it was. Then at my graduation party you were complaining the music was too loud but yet you stayed almost the whole time. You never fussed at me the day you seen my first tattoo because you knew what I was going through at the time and you stood by my side ready to fight for me. Then last Christmas when you just kept looking at me telling me Im gonna live. Over and over again, that killed me... I love you and everything youve taught me. Especially how to love someone as family even if they arent blood. Ill miss you so much but I know you are loving it up there already talking to God.
