Dear Haines Presbyterian Friends: I just thought I would let you all know that I am currently working to raise funds for a documentary on European puppetry called Gravity From Above. While this is not explicitly a Christian film it is implicitly a Christian venture. And I think it worthy of your support. Many of you may have noticed puppetry growing over the years in Haines. It has been my work on this project that has been largely behind this. In 2012 I raised the funds needed in this same way on the same nonprofit site and was able to begin the interviews for my documentary. As a result of that trip weve since had French Puppeteer Paulette Caron come to Haines twice to perform and train students with my puppet troupe Reckoning Motions. Also she gave a three week workshop at the school on puppetry. As a result of her coming the Museum also sponsored a puppet exhibition, which in turn garnered more focus on Haines as the puppet capital of Alaska. So Id like to ask you to consider helping with this project. It doesnt take much to give and the site is quite secure and safe. I will only post this here once so as not to clog up this board with endless updates. We are now nearing $3000 dollars, 15% of our goal which must be reached by December 18th.
