Dear Hamoyoun, Assalam-o-Alaikum We are sad to submit the following information for your kind knowledge: Upon your request and constant efforts the German mountain guide Mr. Thomas Lammle undertook a search mission by helicopter this morning. They have flown to the maximum possible altitude and have taken pictures of spots where there was possibility of seeing the Iranian climbers on Broad Peak. Unfortunately they have found no clue at any possible spot. As a professional mountain guide Mr. Thomas Lammle reached the conclusion that it is useless to undertake any further mission to save the lives of missing Iranian mountaineers. Two high altitude guides of ATP: Asghar and Sarwar have come back to the base camp too. They have searched the whole route thoroughly and they found nothing on way to the summit of Broad Peak. They have also brought pictures with them. With regret we conclude that the three Iranian mountaineers have lost the precious lives. We left no stone upturned to save the precious lives of our brothers but Allah Almighty had fixed the death of our beloved brothers on the heights of Karakorams!! They loved mountains and they scarified their lives in fulfillment of reaching heights of their beloved. It is a great loss for the mountaineering community in General and the families and people of Iran in particular. We equally share the grief and offer our condolence to the bereaved families. May Allah Almighty rest the departed souls in the eternal peace and grant courage to the families and friends to bear the irreparable loss. Aamin!!
