Dear Indians, You pay lakhs of rupees as taxes to the Government - TopicsExpress

Dear Indians, You pay lakhs of rupees as taxes to the Government every time you drink a cold drink, buy tea, sugar or coffee, buy food and vegetables to eat. You pay taxes when you buy clothes to wear, ornaments or make up. you pay taxes when you buy train and bus ticket, or petrol or car for your family. you pay taxes every time you switch on fan and television. You pay taxes every time you ignite the gas to cook you food at home or eat in a restaurant. You pay taxes every time you buy medicines.. or for the matter when you buy anything from any shop. The list goes on and on.. Isnt it your duty to ask the government what it does with your money? I am stating the facilities provided by many developed countries like United Kingdom to its residents in return of the taxes they pay. Does your government provide you with these facilities? If not, why? Has the government in the last 65 years provided you with: 1) Does the government give you a good and excellent transport facility that is at par with your current needs as a employee, student, elderly or disabled person ? The buses , trains, run the economy of the nation. the government should improve these to the level the residents are completely satisfied with the transportation. Infrastructure is not just building roads, its providing excellent public transportation for the local people. 2) If there is crime in the society of any sort, small or large, does the government provide you with fast and efficient justice within 3 months? Does government help the oppressed with legal aid to fight the injustice if the poor cannot afford to do so? Is the legal system affordable and accessible to every citizen of this country? JUSTICE is the PRIME responsibility of any Ruler/ Government. 3)Excellent government schools with first class local teachers. There should be 1 government school for every few thousand people as per the statistics demand. The children of the nation should not be dependent on private schools for education. the government schools should be accountable to the local people and they should be well taken care of by the government. 4) are there good, better than private medical facilities for all locals across the entire country. There should be at least 1 good government doctor for every 10 thousand people and at least 1 well equipped fully functional government hospital for every 1 lakh people. These facilities should be such, that private care is not ever needed by people for basic health. People may go to private doctors for cosmetic works like liposuctions, laser eye surgeries etc.. etc.. but basic health of the nation is governments prime responsibility. these hospitals should be accountable to the local people who use their services. 5) Do you need to spend a lot of money in private care for child birth when some one in your family is pregnant? Are the medical facilities for pregnant women not provided by your nation? 3) Are you asked what reforms or infrastructure is need in your locality? the local people should be asked what their needs are and any project to be undertaken should be declared to the local public and implemented. 4) Do you have the power to dismiss the local minister and hold a local re election if the candidate elected does not perform satisfactorily. The local people should be given this power to reject the elected local candidate if he does not perform his duty. 5) Does the government give you good roads and also good recreational facilities.Does your government conserve and preserve the natural resources like lakes, springs, forests, animals and wild life. A government is equally responsible towards the flora and fauna of the nation as much as it is to the people who elected it.
