Dear JFS Friends, Please read in full. First of all, happy 2nd birthday to JFS! Last year at this time, there were 1,500 ‘likes’….now nearly 3,500 from 40+ countries with 1.6+ million ‘Friends of Friends’. Clearly there is deep interest among many around the world about Japanese food safety. It has become a “one-stop-shop” for condensed reading on food safety in Japan and related issues. This site was established on August 9, 2011 to provide information and insight into food safety as a result of the Fukushima crisis. Since that time, thousands of articles and photos have been posted to spur interest in what we eat here in Japan. After two years, it is time for change...A new page administrator from France will assist in posting from today. He is an avid supporter and fan of the page and shares a similar vision. So you should see no real change in the quality of or balance in the postings. As we move in to the third year, the purpose of this site remains unchanged - to share knowledge on what is happening, what needs to happen, and what should be done to assure safety in the food chain. Thank you for showing interest in Japan Food Safety!
