Dear Jazzistas, Neighbirds, Membirds, Beautiful Birds, and Birddogs, Its 6 more party weekends countdown for this year before we begin 2015 parties. Its been a great year starting with the parties this April at the new district at MLK Jr. Way in Oakland at Rays Barber Shop, MLK Cafe, Marcus Books, the Jazz Alley before settling down on July 18th, at then new location on 4318 MLK Jr. Way. We would like to thank over 400 card membirds who really really really supported Birdland to get it off the runaway and into its maiden flight in Oakland. We cant thank you enough. As a way to thank you, all Card Members can party the next weekends for the rest of 2014 at the old garage rate of $10. For the other members on this email list, we will also give you the $10 rate for the rest of the year since we have not seen alot of you for a long time at the new place. Birdland is all about friendship and camaraderie and so dont every let not having any money deter you from visiting your second home. Just be straight with us and you can always give the money at some other point. Added bonus: bring new folks and birds who have not been to birdland this week also for just $5. It is the holiday season so treat your friends to something special over the next six weeks. We have a lot to be thankful for with all the friendships weve made over the last five years at Birdland and we start our 6th year in a few months. Cant believe weve been partying this long.
