Dear Jbians, It is my pleasure to inform you that, the Annual College Week,2014 would start on 28th Oct,2014, with some radical changes. With the aim of popularizing the various events held during the Week,and to have maximum participation of students,this years College Week will witness competition among all the academic departments of our college.However, the students of Higher Secondary and TDC General courses would also be able participate in each and every event without any barrier or difficulty. The modalities of the new format of College Week have been laid down as follows: 1. Any participanting student other than H.S. and TDC General courses would be a representative of his/her dept. 2. This pattern of participation would be applied in both solo and group events. 3. The students of H.S. and TDC General Courses would have to participate individually, and in group events they can participate by representing their class. 4. If a participant or a group representing a dept wins a position in an event,then a point would be added to the total points of that particular dept. For eg.- 400 m race results- 1st - Dept of History- 3 points . 2nd - Chemistry - 2 points . 3rd - Statistics - 1 point . 5. But, if any of the winner is a student of HS or General course,then,only that s2dnt or group will get the prize,no points would be given. . 6. At the end, during the prize distribution, the dept with highest score would be adjudged the Best Dept. 7.However, every winner,would personally get a prize and certificate, regardless of his/her affilliation to any department. This is an effort to get everybody involved and make the college week more competitive and interesting.We are hopeful of getting your fullest cooperation,and we look forward to organise a grand succesful college week.
