Get the name of your organization right - its the Criminal Investigation Division of the IRS. A simple Google search can clear this up if you are unsure about who you are actually working for. b. Get everyone in your hallway to pipe down. When it sounds like youre calling from a overseas call center its hard to believe that you actually work in an office of the IRS. c. Dont read from the script. I know your supervisor gave you a sample message to leave on voice mail when you dont get a hold of the folks youre investigating, but try to use your own words and dont try.to.enunciate.every.word.that.you.are.reading.from.the.page. d. Loose the accent. I get that maybe working at the CI Division of the IRS is a new gig for you and youre fresh from a deployment overseas, but Im pretty sure someone named Jonathan Knight shouldnt sound like he just trotted down the mountain in the Peshawar region of Pakistan looking for a job. Just sayin . . .
