Dear Karma Family: WOW what a week it is has been....too much drama and stress for me....I have tried to always make my phone number available to EVERYONE....good or bad I want to hear your questions or concerns (I will try and find a way to post it at the top again but please feel free to put it in your phone if we talk often 256-735-3942). Again even with the admins I have which are Sheila Dill, Jamie Abbott we cant what the page nonstop. IF you know someone is taking advantage of ANYONE please call me or message me ASAP and I will look into it. It will remain a PRIVATE message and I will not say who I got the information from. Please lets not post it in the group it causes drama and stress on the page and I just cant have that. If I receive several messages concerning you then I will talk with either by phone or message and if one day you are not in the group anymore you know why. I have had several people offer to watch the page and that is AWESOME. I will be recruiting volunteers for the next few months as Christmas Admin Support Team....These people will have different roles...some will be in charge of watching the page not just for drama but emergency needs. When is say I got from morning to night it is the truth ask Rona Goodwin and Jamie Rodgers I was at Walgreens tonight trying to find stuff. I cant watch the page and unless I am directly tagged it usually wont send to my phone or messaged it wont go to my phone and sometimes my Facebook App is all messed up and I cant get anything but messages from last week. The next people will be located in different areas of the community and they will be in charge of pick up for their areas...which will keep me and my admins from driving all the way across the county. Currently I am the only admin with a vehicle that is any condition to travel that far and trust me mine is falling apart. Also I have to tell you flat out by the end of the month I am driving on fumes because just like many of you I struggle to the third of the month which is another reason we need a building but that is old news. I appreciate all the offers from volunteers who offer to pick up items for us HOWEVER last year we had problems with people picking up and then going through the stuff and keeping stuff or selling it and that looks bad on ME...On top of that safety is another issue. Not just for those who donate but the volunteers who pick up. SO if you are interested in volunteering for your community there will be some changes made all VOLUNTEERS will now go through a background check, I dont think this will be a problem but it will be a requirement. We have this policy in place but I will let you all know that a certified Karma in Cullman will have a photo badge with their picture. So if you are donating and want to be sure they are legit ask for the badge. Also if you volunteer for the community pickup please have someone prepared to go WITH YOU to pick ups....safety in numbers. We have never had a problem but I have put myself in positions that afterwards I thought Hey that wasnt smart. All pick ups will go through me and I will let the community leader know the details. These are just some highlights of changes that will be coming. I will always try to do pick ups myself and drop offs myself...even with volunteers begging to help because I have a hard time giving orders or directions and I hate the feeling that I put too much on someone because this is my pride and project so any punishment that comes from it is on me (if that makes sense) now that being said I WILL HAVE TO HAVE HELP....last year I was blessed with five wonderful women who had my back (side and front on some days) however some have left the group since for different reasons) so even with Sheila and Jamie and Rona helping the Christmas project goes from zero to insane QUICK...so to sum it up if you are STILL interested in helping with projects after reading my rambling post message me privately and I will explain what other duties there will be. If you volunteer and I dont pick you please dont be offended I assure you it isnt personal ;) Ok enough rambling on one post LOL Good night and much love to all
