Dear Knee Warriors, This is definitely an ongoing battle against the dragon, but Del has set his mind to do all in his power to slay this dragon ... one little chunk at a time if need be. There is good news since the nodules in his lungs are stable, not showing any significant change or growth. However Dels CT scans were disappointing as far as the Leiomyosarcoma liver tumors are concerned. These have doubled in size and multiplied. They dont do anything about them until they are at least 1 cm (10 mm) in size, but two of them have more than doubled in size over the past 16 weeks and must be treated ASAP. They need to determine if Dels LMS remains low grade or if it has changed to high grade LMS. Plan for treatment: Biopsies and Cryoablation (freezing) of these 2 tumors is scheduled for November 25th @ Barnes-Jewish in STL. Hell be in the hospital overnight and will get a week off to recuperate. Hes then scheduled to see his Oncologist on Dec. 3rd for biopsy results and possible further plan of action. Thank you for your continued prayers! BTW, Carol had a marvelously safe trip to the west coast visiting family, friends, missionaries and MKs, some she hadnt seen in nearly 60 years.
