Dear LORD, Give me the empowering grace to set aside my hurts and wants for the sake of your glory and your mission. Help me to be a better representative of the person and personality of Jesus Christ to my friends. Rather than highlighting what [my friends] have done wrong, teach me how to come alongside, the way you always come alongside me. Our relationship should not be about what I get out of it. This is my opportunity and context to bring the life of Jesus to bear on a broken [person]. Forgive me of my sins and teach me how to help my friends overcome sin. Your child
