Dear Lone Star Supporters and Readers, We are again reaching high numbers of requests to save our breed dogs, both in kill shelters, strays who have been found, and dogs whose homes and families are no longer there for them. Our mission, as always, is to rescue those dogs who are at risk of being euthanized. And today, we have FIVE of them, not realizing that each day could be their last day to live. Without Lone Star supporters, fosters, volunteers and adopters, thousands of dogs would be dead. Instead, our rescue organization has given them the gift of life as well as gifting many adopters with a lifetime companion and family member. Were at the same point today as we always are. The requests for our group to save a dogs life continue to come. We have FIVE dogs whose lives may end by Sunday while waiting for an approved foster or rescue to save them. And there are still emails we have not opened that start out with: Can you pull this dog at this kill shelter? We go to bed each night hopeful that an email will be waiting for us in the morning stating I can help. Five urgent dogs...who lives, who dies? Its up to you.
