Dear Loved Ones, In case you are wondering what happened to me - TopicsExpress

Dear Loved Ones, In case you are wondering what happened to me and my wife! I have to tell you it wasnt the rapture, although I really would have liked that....ha ha. It was Typhoon Glenda, with high winds and some rain. It hit us at 2:30 AM or so on Tuesday night or Wednesday Morning. We are doing fine now. But for a while it seemed like we would be blown away. The Typhoon Glenda passed directly over us, but our house was not damaged. However we lost electricity, water and internet....You never realize what a blessing it is to have these things, until you dont have them...:o) We did not get the electricity and water fully back until Saturday and just this morning we got the internet back. Wow. Carrying water with buckets to flush, wash and take baths, do dishes, etc. Using a candle at night with a flashlight...And no internet......speaks for itself. But thank the Lord, we had a friend with a well, so we could gather water there and bring it home. I want to thank each of you for your prayers, thoughts and concerns. We wondered how many folks would miss us...ha ha. Well, it seems like we have been on a long trip and just returned.....530 emails, digging through them....answering messages...and just seeing what is going on, when I have time. God is and was, so good to us, He protected us and provided for us, even though the Typhoon was bad, it killed about 100 people, and at least 103 people were also reported injured. Total damages to infrastructure and agriculture were estimated at P5.68 billion ($130,450,000 US Dollars). Power blackout are still being experienced in some parts of the provinces of Batangas, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, Pampanga, Rizal, Quezon, and Metro Manila. The Typhoon did untold damage to homes and businesses, and peoples lives. But for the most part, we were spared. Thank You Lord. I have always thought I would like to have been born back in the days of the old West....Just always seemed like an age, I would like. But when you do without modern conveniences for a short period of time, you realize how good it is to live in these days and times, with modern conveniences. The only big thing we lost was all of our frozen food, we had to give it away since the icebox starting thawing out after a couple of days. But even that was another Blessing from the Lord, as we saw the looks of love and appreciation, on the hungry faces of our brothers and sisters in Christ. Well need to run for now, lots of Emails. Thank all of you so much for your thoughts, concern and prayers....we love you so much. Hopefully the Electric, water and Internet will stay on. Also pray for Israel, as you know we are in the Last days, before Jesus comes for His Body/Bride....God is moving in Mighty Ways, TO WARN THE PEOPLE around the world, time to come to Him, before the 7 years of Tribulation begin...Are You Ready? In His Presence, even in the Storms of Life, Johnnie & Jeannette. Nahum 1:2-3 A jealous and avenging God is the LORD; The LORD is avenging and wrathful. The LORD takes vengeance on His adversaries, And He reserves wrath for His enemies. 3 The LORD is slow to anger and great in power, And the LORD will by no means leave the guilty unpunished. In whirlwind and storm is His way, And clouds are the dust beneath His feet.
