Dear MAYO, Greetings from VSO Bahaginan! Thank you for your participation to the International Citizen Service (ICS) Assessment Day . We are pleased to inform you that you have been selected to join the British and Filipino volunteers for ICS Year 2 Cycle 1 in CEBU which runs from October –December 2013. Congratulations! We look forward to having you as part of the team in the next months. Your participation to the ICS Youth Action programme in Bohol needs to be confirmed by your submission of Police Clearance/NBI Clearance, Medical Clearance, Barangay Certificate, 1 pc ID picture and filled-up Personal and Professional Reference Forms (if not submitted yet) and Volunteer Profile. Please see attached template for the medical clearance and reference forms. We suggest that you start working on the requirements and submit/send to the office on or before 18 September. Xray film and lab results should be included in the pack. The medical results will be forwarded to our medical adviser at St. Luke’s Hospital for reassessment. Group accident insurance coverage will be arranged as soon as all requirements have been submitted. This should be before volunteers go on board for training. Your ICS volunteering stint will commence by your attendance to two (2) training courses namely Initial Training Course (ITC) and In-Country Orientation (ICO) to be conducted on 30 September – 5 October 2013 either in Cebu or Bohol. Final info and details on these two training courses will be provided in my follow-up email next week. Airline travel will be arranged by the Youth Programme team. For those who will make the trip either by land or sea, travel will be arranged by the volunteers using the most cost efficient mode of transportation, and expenses will be reimbursed by ICS. We highly appreciate if you can confirm your participation to the programme by replying to this email or send an SMS on or before the 6th of September 2013.
