Dear Members of Press and Media. Today the case Rajaretinam Vs KIMMA under section 504 penal code, the lawyer Manoharan Malayalam has ask the case against A.Rajaretinam to be thrown out. He submitted that the session court in Sg.Petani, has no jurisdiction to hear the case. The alleged offense attacking KIMMA & Mamak took place in Korthumalai Vinayagar Temple, Kuala Lumpur. Also, the complainant in this case is from Cyberjaya, Selangor. Why Sg.Petani Session Court...??? Asked the lawyer. Case adjourned to 21.12.2014 because DPP Tuan Zaki was not prepared to answer Defense Counsel Mr.Manoharan Malayalam. The DPP needs more time. There is no objections from the lawyer. The lawyer said the issue is very straight forward and the law is very clear. The DPP pleaded more time and the court granted. Manoharan Malayalam wanted this case to thrown out. Mr.Manoharan Malayalam was assisted by M.Kulasegaran, Dato S.Ganesan & Mr.Ramkarpal Singh. The court room galery was packed with Rajaretinams supports such as Perak Vethamoorthy, MIPAS Secretary General S.Barathidasan, Malaysian Youth Care President Mr. Ramis, MIPAS Vice President Kumaradevan and other numerous NGOs leaders. Barathidasan commented that how could the AG being the public prosecutor and legal advisor to the BN goverment does not know the basic law. Its very embarrassing for our country to have this AG. Where is the country leading to, charging a man who has allegedly committed an offence in K.L was taken to Sg. Petani to be charge.
