Dear Men. Dear Me. If were going to picket and protest. I wish wed also do it for those domestically abused both emotionally and physically ....tortured in our own back yards. These are women whom we have an opportunity to do more than picket for. If we wanted too, we could pool our money and give them housing and safehavens when their husbands decide they dont want them anymore. Thats probably too much investment though. Actually takes concerted consistent personal investment and sacrifice. Truth is we dont see them as important. And until we admit that, our condition wont change. Do we ignore the things we can actually do more about because they are harder to face? These womens pain also comes from a type of occupation. Their resources are also cut off. At anytime without expectation they maybe slammed with a fist or an emotional missile that destroys their hearts. Disabling even their ability to worship their lord. And if oppression is worse than slaughter they are even more rarely relieved of their harsh burdens. Truth is its a lot harder to Examine and change ourselves. Yet its the only way Allah has promised a change of our outward condition. I have to do better. We have to do better.
