Dear Mesquite Neighbors, A new breeze is blowing in Mesquite. Much has been said about a new direction of moving away from rampant apartment construction. But the vote on item 12 last night was not the true victory.......the true victory is that we had a full house of citizens in the council chamber speaking up and getting more involved. For too long discouragement, apathy, and a general sense of hopelessness reigned in our city. But thats changing!!! The people having a greater say in their city and democracy thriving at city hall is the REAL VICTORY! Now lets keep our hands to the plow and keep working! ONWARD! I believe in Mesquite!
