Dear Middlebury Families & Staff: As you may already know, Mr. Francis Brennan of Middlebury has resigned his position on the Region 15 Board of Education. Mr. Brennans term of office runs through November, 2015, and his resignation means that this position will be filled by an elected Middlebury resident for the remainder of his term. The Middlebury Board of Selectman have called a special Town Meeting to be held on Monday, February 2nd at 6:30pm (location: Shepardson auditorium) to elect a Middlebury resident to fill this position. The meeting notice can be found here: middlebury-ct.org/news/ At this special meeting the following will occur: 1.) the legal notice of this meeting will be read 2.) nominations for candidates will be made and 3.) the election will be held. The outcome of this election will be determined by the registered Middlebury voters who attend this meeting in person and vote. If you are a registered Middlebury voter and wish to vote in this election, you must attend this meeting in person promptly at 6:30 p.m. Identification will be required (e.g. drivers license). There will be no proxy/absentee ballot voting options (i.e. your attendance is required in order to vote).
