Dear Mr Abbott, I think you and the people working with you are - TopicsExpress

Dear Mr Abbott, I think you and the people working with you are doing an awesome job under very difficult circumstances. Please keep up the forward thinking ideas and motivations. Your new terrorist awareness/identification systems are a great start but do not go anywhere near being strong enough. Tony we have listened to, adhered to and been dictated to by human rights advocators, freedom of speech defenders, privacy pushers and that ilk ad infinitum. They have made their point and now we have the very real threat of the worst kind of abuses on our doorstep. We dropped the ball while we were listening to them Tony. We immediately need to put into practice laws that will protect us now an in the future. Laws such as: 1) Visas: If you leave to go to war affected countries, Boko Haram, Isis and Hassad afflicted areas, then you don’t get to come back. Simple as that. Once you land in any of those places, without an authority to be there on humanitarian grounds and you STAY WITH THE GROUP ie CARE or World Vision, then your visa is automatically revoked. You cant even buy a ticket to get back. People who are joining the radical muslim movement are damaged. If not before they go then certainly when they come back. We have enough social problems here without men in our suburbs that have been indoctrinated with beheading (as a just method for getting your point across) let alone what they have been doing to women. I cant even imagine the atrocities being perpetuated against women over there. We do not want these people emulating this sick and degenerate behavior in our society, leave them to eke out their lives with their cronies over there. 2) Surveillance: People who have nothing to hide do not give a fig about you or anyone else listening, watching or detaining. Let the moaners bewail their fate Mr Abbott ! You go ahead and surveil all you like, just STOP TELLING PEOPLE YOU ARE DOING IT ! The fact is, those that need surveilling will not make that incriminating phone call if they know you are listening. It needs to be done in secret. That’s the whole idea of surveillance. 3) War: Our soldiers are going to be deployed. There’s no escaping it. If these ugly radical religious zealots and their dangerous cohorts are not completely wiped off the face of the planet then they are going to infiltrate every facet of our country and our society and the world will no longer be worth living in. You need to stop telling Australians what you are thinking about doing (ie Waiting to be asked by USA), it’s not up for debate, you need to stand up and be the LEADER we elected and TELL US what you have done and let the debaters earn their kudos away from distracting you from your directive. That directive is to keep our country safe. Simple as that. 4) Police: The police need to have cart blanch for detention, entering homes, searches and questioning. This too is not up for debate by our well-meaning, passive society. Don’t even discuss the matter. Don’t tell people that you are giving powers to the police. Just give it to them. 5) Courts: As the leader of the country it is time for those leader to step up as well. Pull them all into line, order the judges to incarcerate people that have behaved offensively and have our judicial system work to keep us safe, not the criminal happy. Stop closing prisons, invest in Prison Ward Courses and make our prison system strong and viable and make it intimidating to say the least. 6) Youth: You have organised for our Early School Leavers to either earn or learn. Instead of putting young people back in the classroom, particularly drug affected youth already disengaged from society let alone the training room, put them where they can be of use. Like cleaning the streets, bring back conscription, have them on patrol repairing public amenities and cleaning them. Don’t put people out of work, we already have council workers clean our town public toilets but it would not hurt for them to be cleaned more than once a week that’s for sure. I drive the Pacific Highway every day for work, it sure could use a litter gang out there collecting rubbish. Yes Mr Abbott, I know the moaners will bewail the dangers of this but THEY are the ones that put our entire population in this global danger in the first place. Let them moan, whinge, debate and wail away, without them we would have a strong society instead of this frail weak passive bunch of cry babies. In short Mr Abbott, we are a complacent, weak over-indulged society too used to getting our own way and finding fault with everything. It’s time for you and our leaders to, lead. That means for you to stop the ‘go forward’, ‘ on the one team’ platitudes and actually DO something about your leadership. We are standing on a precipice we either make our world safe now or the coming holocaust will create headless victims of us all.
