Dear Mr. Ibrar Hussain Babar, Sports Secretary - BCL Hope you - TopicsExpress

Dear Mr. Ibrar Hussain Babar, Sports Secretary - BCL Hope you and your family is in the best of health. It is our intention to notify you that we, BCC A, would like to pull out our team from the Cricket Bahrain Association (CBA) - BCL Division which is played at Busaiteen and is known as Bahrain Cricket League / Junior League effective Friday, October 10, 2014. We regret for the inconvenience caused and are giving you enough time to avoid any conflict / disturbance to your league and to give you enough time to re-organise your schedule. We will play the matches on Friday, September 26, 2014 until Thursday, October 09, 2014 so that your league does not get affected. We have also paid our full yearly membership / registeration fees of BD: 300.000. It is an unfortunate but a must decision that had to be made after a great deal of thought. Honestly, we have no issues with your organization or your league or your committee. You and your committee were quite cooperative, helpful, & respectful. We really appreciate all your help. We thank and apologize to Mr. Omran Ghani (Joint Secretary) for not being able to continue in BCL / Junior League as planned. The reason for our pull out is due to the sub-standard cricket / teams, grounds, balls, & umpires. We moved to BCL / Junior League from BCA / Senior League assuming to get better quality, better cricket, and better grounds. Unfortunately, BCL / Junior League, except for 4-5 teams out of 65 registered teams, consists of non-professional cricketers who come only to enjoy playing non-professional / non-competetive cricket on Fridays. For them it is just a pass-time / fun. We deem that BCA / Senior League standard is far better than the BCL / Junior League. For a team of our calibre, BCC A, which consists of mostly professional cricketers, it is no fun playing with teams or cricketers who do not even know the basic rules / ABCD of cricket and have no technique at all. In my 20 years (1994-2014) of cricketing career, I have not seen such a sub-standard cricket / cricketers except for in the 4-5 teams as mentioned above. I am extremely sorry to say that but it is the fact. Our expectation was much higher. We heard a lot about BCL / Junior League but unfortunately it was just rumours / media hype. Winning or losing is part of the game. Even the weakest team can win against the strongest team on their day. But, that day doesnt come every day. We want to play competitive and professional cricket. We hope that you and your committee will understand our grievance for pulling out from BCL / Junior League. In my opinion, to improve cricket in the Kingdom, CBA shall make a deal with BCA and BCL and shall take the top five (5) teams from BCL / Junior League and top five (5) teams from BCA / Senior League and put them in one (1) group ELITE GROUP. This is the only way for spectators to watch competitive cricket and will improve the standard of cricket in the Kingdom. Moreover, coming to the attachment, we are well aware that It is none of our business but we wish to bring to your kind notice that the attached statement of account received from BCL Committee for 2013/2014 seems quite fictitious looking at the standard of cricket, umpires, and grounds. YOU NEED TO TAKE CARE AS SOMEBODY IS REALLY RIPPING YOU / BCL OFF. Thanks & regards, Fahad Sadeq
