Dear Mr. Presidential Wanna-be. You should be thankful to your PR people for that carefully worded apology. Thank them, pay them, then replace them. That is, if they are the same PR people who helped come up with that idea for you to mouth off Putang ina at a Makati rally in the dying days of the Arroyo administration. It was supposed to show your frustration at her corrupt ways. Yet, all of us who attended knew beforehand just how insincere that gimmik was. You see, you had staff going around the crowd begging people to stay because, as they said in the vernacular, Mar Roxas is going to swear at Gloria. For the record, I did stay and I was underwhelmed by your acting abilities. Now, that Wack-wack incident appeared sincere. Your use of the aforementioned swear words at the staff was clearly unrehearsed. Unfortunately for you, you were sincerely condescending and yes, boorish. Why do I mention the first incident? Well, you are aware of the term, you know it pushes the envelope, know that it is insulting and have previously calculatedly used it provoke a crowd, if not an occupant of Malacanang. You KNEW that would hurt, and you used it. Sadly, you used it on people you probably thought are beneath you anyway. Oh dont get me wrong, it isnt about your poor choice of words. Rather, it is your absolute lack of creativity in using them. Lets face it, it was trite at best. You werent funny, you werent effective, and if we didnt know any better, you looked like you were in cahoots with Jojo Binays camp to scuttle any Liberal party dreams of a post Noynoy Malacanang. Not that I care, really. But you did remind me that you have been in power for far too long.
