Dear Neighbor (The One Who Left the Note on My Car): I was taught - TopicsExpress

Dear Neighbor (The One Who Left the Note on My Car): I was taught that, when giving constructive criticism, it is important to offer a positive comment for each negative one. I will do my best to uphold this standard. Positive: you used a sticky note. I love sticky notes. Negative: You touched my car. My new car. Positive: You have legible handwriting. Negative: Your message was unwlcomed and will go unheeded until such time as others in the complex learn to park correctly and appropriately. In case you are wondering, appropriately means I can get in and out of my car without hitting my door on anothers car. Appropriately means bags and other bundles (think boxes or baby carriers) can be placed in the car without a ding, a dent, or a scratch. Appropriately means others can do the same. Positive: You correctly spelled please park correctly. Kudos to you. Negative: Your smiley face drawing sucked. Positive: (This one is most impressive to me.) You used the proper adverb. Impressive. Honestly, thats almost enough to make me like you. Almost. Negative: Your note was rude. I dont like rude. In closing, dear rude note-leaving neighbor, you can leave all the notes you want; it will not change the way I park. And if I catch you touching my car, I will call the police and tell them you are attempting to break into my car. Thank you for your time and concern for my parking habits. Sincerely, Your annoyed (and slightly crazy) red headed neighbor 😀 who can make a proper smiley
