Dear Parents/Guardians, In relation to the hazardous condition, append below are some measures by the Health Ministry to ensure the safety and health being of children, parents and staff:- i) Limit outdoor activities, if possible ii) Avoid dehydration-drink plenty of water; don’t wait until thirsty iii) If exercise or sweat a lot, take isotonic drinks to replenish body’s salt and minerals iv) Practice good hygiene-wash hands and face and shower frequently v) Wear loose and light-coloured clothing to keep cool vi) Those in high-risk groups such as asthmatics and other respiratory problems should avoid the outdoors vii) See a doctor if experiencing breathing difficulties, fever, nausea, dizziness, eye irritation or coughing viii) Turn the air-conditioner on while in vehicles and keep the windows shut We also seek the kind co-operation of all parents to put on masks for your child and keep your child at home if your child shows any of the symptoms such as fever, cough, difficulty in breathing or runny nose. This is being adopted for the best interest of your child for him/her to recover speedily and have the immune system built up. Your kind attention to the above is much appreciated. Thank you.
