Dear Parents, With the slight change in weather, we have observed many children are coming to school sick, have symptoms of being sick or not completely recovered. In keeping with health standards, we ask you to follow the Nurserys health regulations which will help us protect your child as well as other children in the Nursery. 1. Please do not send in your sick child to school! A slight fever, heavy cough, continuous discharge from the nose and similar symptoms are strongly effecting your child’s energy level and mood, therefore your child will not really benefit from his/her time in the classroom. Give your child the time to completely recover before returning back to school. 2. Please inform the school administration when your child is absent from school for more than 2 days. 3. If a child becomes sick while at the nursery or has fever, diarrhea or is vomiting, we take the child to the nurse’s room and will inform the parents to arrange to take the child home. 4. If the child has excessive drainage from the nose or with green or yellow mucous, the child should be under a doctors care and medication should be given. 5.
