Dear Parents and Friends Hope you have been having a most awesome summer! The time just seems to be flying by and soon our kids will be back in school. The 1st Cannington Leadership Team has been making plans over the summer and our next program year is shaping up to be another great one! We are just putting the finishing touches on our Scout Hall and are pleased to announce that our Beaver Scouts will be meeting there next year on MONDAY nights from 6:30 to 7:30pm. Our Cub Scouts and Scouts will continue to meet on TUESDAY nights from 7pm to 8:30pm at McCaskills Mills PS. If you have some time to give, PLEASE CONSIDER VOLUNTEERING AS A LEADER! You neednt commit to every meeting night or event. Volunteering as a Part-time Leader helps our Group tremendously! We always need Leaders but most especially in the Cub Scout Pack (ages 8-10 years) and Scout Troop (11+). If you would like more information on volunteering with 1st Cannington, please contact me. We will be sending out Program Plans to all Families in a couple of weeks time but just to give everyone a heads up on some of our planning: •Open House, Registration and Kick-off Party will be held at the Scout Hall, 51 McKay, on Saturday September 6th starting at 4pm.
