Dear Parents of Divisional Swimmers, Thank you for participating in Divisionals this year! We are taking 65 Tiger Shark swimmers this year! This email will cover most of the information for the meet on Monday. I will send another email out about volunteer spots and warm up times after I receive that information. Meet Information: The Divisional meet is on Monday, July 7 at the Alfred J. Loos Natatorium located at 3815 Spring Valley Rd, Addison, TX. Warm up time is still TBD, but will be sometime between 8:00 a.m. – 8:50 a.m. (We will communicate our specific warm up time as soon as we find out, but please plan on being there and ready to go for warm ups by 8:00 a.m. You will get better parking, spectator seating and the team will get better pool deck space if we arrive and are ready to go by 8:00 a.m.) The meet will start at 9:30 a.m. The meet is scheduled to end at approximately 12:15 p.m. Volunteer Needs: We have not yet been told how many volunteers our team is required to provide for the meet. Once we find out that information from DASA, we will send an email with a volunteer sign up link. Please be on the lookout for that email as we will need to fill the spots quickly. It is EXTREMELY important that we provide the volunteers that they have asked for or they wont start the meet until we do. Thank you in advance for your help! Loos Natatorium: Loos is a bigger pool than usual and the meet will run two ends of the pool simultaneously. Boys swim on one side and girls swim on the other side. NO flash photography is allowed at the start of any race. Spectator Seating: We are trying to get the parents to sit together this year to cheer on the swimmers so feel free to collaborate or look for other familiar faces as you look for a spot to sit. If you have a boy and a girl swimming in the meet, you may want to sit in the middle of the spectator area so you can watch both ends of the pool. You may not reserve seats in the spectator area. No lawn chairs are allowed in the spectator area. Also, you may not stand in the front aisle next to the rail in the stands. This is strictly enforced. Team Meeting Spot: The doors to the Natatorium will open at 7:30 a.m. Coaches will arrive early so we can try to claim space on the pool deck for our team. Please look for us on the pool deck and have your swimmer join us at our meeting spot. Please encourage your swimmer to stay near our team area during the meet so we can find them when they need to report to the ready bench. If a swimmer leaves the team area, they risk missing their event if we can’t find them. Event Numbers: Attached is a list of entries by the name of the swimmer so that you know your swimmers event numbers. Please write the event numbers on your swimmer’s arm on Monday morning before you go to the pool, if possible. If you can’t do this, we will write numbers on them when they arrive. Meet Programs: Meet programs (heat sheets) will be on sale at the meet for $5.00 for those interested. Meet Results: Event results will be posted in the lobby of the natatorium as they become available during the meet. Complete meet results of all Divisional meets will be posted on the Dallas Mustangs website, dmswim, on Wednesday, July 9. The list of All Star Qualifiers will be posted on this website on Thursday, July 10. Please note, sometimes results and qualifier postings may be delayed slightly, but keep checking the website if you are interested in that information.
