Dear People of the Western Cape. When u were blazing the POLOTICAL trails of the SA landscape with UDF, boasting Luminaries like Alan Boesak, Trevor Manuel, Salie Manie, Dullah Omar & the like, the buzz word was DEMOCRACY!! This is what u wanted!! U got shot 4 this, detained, banned, exiled & some of u killed! Ultimately Mendelson & other POLOTICAL Prisoners got released, with that then New dispensation was ushered in. The DEMOCRACY u cried 4 for years was finally brought 2 realisation. U then had ur ANC running the WC. Now that was DEMOCRACY in action.... However u now have LOST the WC to another Party called the DA, led by a white woman. Guess what! This is DEMOCRACY in action!! This means more ppl in the WC chose them, instead of your ANC. Now this very DEMOCRACY dictates that they are at the helm, until you oust them at the Polls, the same way the ousted u!!.... There is a morning where u have to WAKE UP to the sober realisation that DEMOCRACY is not DEMOCRACY only when the ANC prevails. This profound intolerance that u have consistently shown towards this white woman that u so passionately love to hate, can not mean that DEMAOCRACY should be shelved just until your ANC comes back to power in the WC..... Before your ANC was ousted at the Polls, your ANC was running the WC for years. Never on a single day did you see fit to march around, throwing human waste on your Beautiful Airport & Public buildings. Yet the ANC was in charge when u had this Bucket system. I suppose that u saw them as your Government & cudnt embarrass them in that fashion! Shouting Helen Zille down from Podiums when shes discharging her official duties as an Elected Premier, means that the DEMOCRACY u were Shouting for Tear-gassed, Detained & died for, by the old regime, was not fully explained to u as to what nature it would take, when u ultimately attain it. I speak to u as a member & supporter of this very ANC u are so readily willing to embarrass at every given opportunity....... DEMOCRACY MEANS THAT I WILL DISAGREE WITH YOU UNTIL THE END, BUT I WILL DEFEND TO DEATH YOUR GOD GIVEN RIGHT TO SAY WHAT EVER YOU WANT TO SAY!!!......Have a good weekend.
