Dear President Obama, I n recent weeks the news has been flooded with the need for immigration and illegal alien reform. I would like to point out that no one seems to be talking about a great problem we have with the immigrants that have already settled here in the US. Each month I see lines. Many lines of many people from foreign countries at check cashing and money exchange businesses. Each of them in line to send money back to whatever country they originated from. We are loosing billions of dollars in minority subsidies and gifts every year. The last time I got a gift certificate for a free meal Im pretty sure I could not send it to a pal in France to use for a lovely bistro lunch. I am aware of voucher programs that allow for food and clothing. Cant send those anywhere! The businesses offering these items expect them to aid people here in our country. We need to stop giving away our money only to see it flooded to foreign lands to be used for whatever purpose. If an individual is here in America, they need to be a participant in keeping the American economy sound if they expect it to be supportive of their endeavors. After working for 30 years for the first time I am at the mercy of complete assistance from my county. As I build a new life, I spend my 95 dollars a month at local businesses. I would never even consider sending it out to another country even if I had enough to do so. That is un-American as far as I am concerned. Please stop giving subsidies and gifts to foreigners just because they are new to our country. They are here now. They need to learn, and get to work. Steven Lutz
