Dear Prime Minister, Kindly accept my hearty Congratulation to you, for the exemplary speech you made on the Independence day ,from the ramparts of Red Fort. It was indeed a refreshing change. The Speech, which you delivered extempore ,really touched the hearts of the people of our great Nation. You literally spoke to the people ,to give out what you felt genuinely in your mind ,rather than reading from the written manuscript which was just a routine affair in earlier years. People could sense that you became one among them when you pleaded to them what you desired India to be. And to speak from the open podium instead of from behind the bullet proof screen, you showed your courage, fearlessness, and conviction ,which ,an elected leader of the people is expected to show. Among the many social issues that you covered, your concern for protecting the girl childs right to live, and the protection of Womens dignity and honour stand out. Those who are critical have questioned the need or necessity to talk about shouchalaya in an Independence day speech. After all they forget that you are interacting with the nation and your people, and not with outsiders. So I see nothing wrong in talking the bare truth. In a country where quite a sizable population are poor or very poor, you have not only stressed the importance of adopting the right practice, but also have sent a message to those fortunate ones to pause and think and do something positive towards providing shouchalays in villages so that, the poor especially our women ,can safeguard their dignity. So I see nothing wrong in having touched this subject. I only hope that the MPs and MLAs will follow your advice, and plough in some funds to create such facilities in villages. It is sad to come to know, that, quite a few MPs have not utilised the funds effectively ,not to speak of some having not spent a pie out of it. This has to change and they have to ask their conscience only. The same applies to our environmental cleanliness. You have made bold to accept this fact and express the need for effecting a change in our mindset to keep our surroundings clean. We cannot hide from facts. Hope this message go a long way down to every citizen. You have shown the direction to be adopted by our country to achieve progress through education,Digitalisation, e-Governance, manufacturing,and the need to strive and make our products, internationally acceptable and competitive and world renowned . This is a good message not only for the industrialists of our country , but also, to our younger generation and youths to take it as a challenge. The growth in Industry will also generate employment opportunity thus channeling the youths mind for useful and productive work. It is just three months since the new Government has taken over ,under your leadership. It definitely needs time to implement effectively the many tasks that are in the hands of the Government. But people in opposition are waiting for the flimsiest opportunity to put the blame on anything,be it persisting high inflation, high cost of essential household items or lawlessness. They have conveniently forgotten that things were no better during their time. They are also attributing communal tensions and flareups of late ,and forcing Hindutua policies ,down the throat of the people. They are propagating such information,just to make political capital or gains out of it. At the same time it will not be out of place to mention , that it was a little unfortunate that many avoidable controversial topics and expressions in public, by BJP MPs , Ministers of BJP in center and BJP ruled States etc attracted these comments. This could have been avoided . If only these loose expressions and out bursts could be nipped in the bud it would go a long way for people to continue retain their hopes and faith in the present regime. With Stalwarts like you, Arun Jaitly, Rajnath Singh,Shushma Swaraj, Ravishankar Prasad etc at the helm of affairs, the Government should be able to curb these loose expressions emanating frequently from certain section of party members, and remain focused on Governance only. Hope this sincere feeling of mine , which many others also are housing in their mind , will be taken in the right spirit. May God be with you , and bless you and the present Government to take the country forward in years to come.
