Dear REFORMA Members, The REFORMA Nominations Committee requests and welcomes for its consideration your nominations of REFORMA colleagues to serve on the FY 2015 -16 Board of Directors. Any candidacy for nomination does not mean automatic nomination to the Board of Directors. The Committee will make its final selections during Midwinter and members will vote on the slate in March 2015. This year’s Committee will be considering candidates for nomination for four Board positions: • Vice-President / President Elect – one year (serves as President for the following year and then one year as the Immediate Past President); • Treasurer – two years; • Member-At-Large – two years; • Chapter Representatives (2) - two years One of the most significant contributions you can make to REFORMA is to participate in our annual nominations process to ensure that highly qualified and dedicated colleagues can continue our long tradition of excellence and leadership. Your nominations assist the Committee in ensuring that, among other things, the leadership of REFORMA reflects a consistent commitment to service. Please read the information detailing the roles and responsibilities of REFORMA leaders and help us identify nominees by using the process described. When submitting your nomination, we ask that you please consider the following: • Quality and length of REFORMA leadership, including REFORMA Committees. • Participation and contributions in programs and services. • Commitment and ability to work effectively as a member of the Board. • Additional relevant nonprofit organization board membership experience, if any. The REFORMA nominations process encourages wide and open participation by the membership, and the organization will provide any additional information about the process upon request. The REFORMA Process for Nomination and Election of Slate of Nominees In January 2015, the Committee will meet in to review those who have been nominated from among our colleagues to serve on the Board of Directors. The Committee will develop a single slate of nominees. Once all nominees confirm that they are willing and able to serve, the slate will be presented to the membership during Midwinter. Members will vote on the slate of nominees at in March 2015.
