Dear ROV’s Family, I’m so excited to write this mail. I hope, you’re having a good time and enjoying the life in country. For whose are not enjoying, just look into mirror and smile with saying this “I’m beautiful the way I am”. Then, you gain more momentums! It was incredible experience for me and locals to get involved with you guys. You’re amazing people and you’re unbelievable people. You skipped your life in your modern city, you skipped talking to your boyfriends/ girlfriend, you skipped your night clubs in your cities where most of the people in your ages addicted, you stopped having your foods for a while by coming, helping us and changing us by working hard as Khmer farmer, by getting dirty clothes, by getting dirty fingers. I understood your feeling; I understood how hard you were of being here. You just had simple foods, you just stayed in simple hotel, you just used simple transportation and you just talked to simple people. Some of you got boring with it. But your results will be amazing! As I have mentioned “Try your best guys, you will not be here again, who know? Even, you try best or not, you will get everything as you have normally in country but if you have learned something more, your will get more experiences in life then you might change life faster than other. You’re here just 2 weeks, 3 weeks and a month, finally, you got back home. When you got home, you got your life there which totally different from here”. Let take a look at this story: There is a big storm on the beach and there a hundred of sea stars on the sands. The sea star will die, without having water. At the same time, there is a man who is picking the star and throws in to water. Suddenly, there is another man walking through and asked him “what are you doing? The man answered “I’m making change, I’m making different in the world”. That man said “What! You’re making change the world! This is impossible” He replied “Look at me! He throws a star into the water” and he added that “you see! I have saved this one life”. That’s like what we’re doing, there are a hundred of things to do in this world but we couldn’t do all these things, right? You didn’t change everything in Cambodia but you did change some parts of Cambodia. We could not do everything at one time but everyone can do different thing at one time. More students have learned your culture because of You, more students have improved their English because of you, More students have got better education because of you, more students go to schools and get university classes because of you, More people get better health by having chances to hospital, more people change their life because of you and we’re better because of you. Obviously, you’re better than us in term of Economic, educational system, political situation and standard of living. So, we don’t really have better things to compare with you guys. We don’t really have very new clothes to wear, we don’t really have a good house to stay, we don’t really have a good classroom to study, just worn and ruined bamboo classrooms, palm leaf roofs and walls, and we don’t really have a good food or modern foods to eat. But what we have are: we just cook Khmer foods for you, we just play with you, we just teach you some of your Khmer language, we just help you to build our houses and we just smile to you all the times, especially, when we saw you look tired, we just want to motivate you, we just want to show you that we love you by our smiling and we just do the right things that our ancestor, our parents treat us. Your experiences from Cambodia will stay with you for the rest of your life. You may forget Krorbey Riel Village and Mondul Kiri elephant refuge, but poor Krobeyriel and Mondul kiri elephants will remember you. Your valuable sharing in helping unprivileged children is carved deeply in poor children hearts. religiously and philosophically we used to be born in the same families or the same communities that’s why you have met with Cambodian children. Though we have different colors, we have a lot in common. Particularly, we have the same purposes for better life and education. I remember when you worked with Cambodians, you felt tired, sad, excited, and you laughed just like Cambodians. I love you so much guys. I like working with you, I love loving you, You’re beautiful. You’re beautiful the way you are! I don’t think, it was the last time for me and you to meet each other in this world. Anyway, this is what you’re waiting for, Cool and unbelievable photos!
