Dear Residents, With the cold fall and winter months upon us we would like to provide you with a few preventive maintenance and snow removal reminders that will enhance your stay with United Communities. Preventative Maintenance • Dont forget to change your air filter. By changing the air filter the HVAC system will work more efficiently. Air filters can be picked up at the Self-Help Office. • To keep the heat inside your home make sure the doors and windows are tightly sealed and secured. • If your thermostat is reading Emergency Heat please call and notify our maintenance team immediately. • Please disconnect your hoses from the hose bib during the fall and winter months. This is to prevent the pipes from bursting due to freezing and causing unnecessary damage to your home. • Test your smoke/carbon monoxide detector(s) to make sure they are working properly. Snow Removal • If the weather forecast is calling for snow, we kindly ask that you park your vehicle(s) in the garage, driveway, assigned parking space, or overflow parking areas. This will help expedite the snow removal process. Finally, UC will take care of all common areas, streets, and sidewalks in housing. Please remember to remove snow from your private drive ways, walking paths from your driveway to your door, and from around your heat pump. Thanks, United Communities
