Dear Rudy Giuliani, The New York Police Department and Al Sharpton are on the same side, given the fact that they use different methods, follow different pathways, and answer to different entities. Rudy Giuliani would have us pit OUR Reverend Al Sharpton against OUR NYPD, even knowing about the death threats. Fool. You (Rudy) go on to say that President Barack Obama should jettison one of his oldest mentors and best friends; does Rudy believe his own hate speech, rhetoric, and hyperbole? Rudy has even counted out the number of Reverend Sharpton’s White House visits, this sounds like Rudy has visit envy. Rudy again attacks / sneers at Sharpton by guessing about the Internal Revenue Service’s character, and their ability to do their job. Rudy if you delineate people into “us against them groups” you run the risk alienating everyone to your peculiar way of thinking. Many on either side of your argument, those who live on either side of the line you have drawn in the sand will take offence to your treatment of the Reverend, including many in Law Enforcement. How does this fact figure into your way of thinking Sir? The Reverend Al Sharpton is an honorable man, and he deserves better, what say you Rudy; the time is ripe for a retraction, yes. The New York Police Department is now not finished burying their dead, Rudy do not incite those who grieve rather steady them.
