Dear Runners, It is with great regret and our sincerest - TopicsExpress

Dear Runners, It is with great regret and our sincerest apologies that we have made the reluctant decision to cancel the Shillingstone 6 on Bank Holiday Monday. This race, although organised under the Dorset Doddlers Running Clubs name, is in fact organised by two members of our club on the behalf of the Shillingstone Sports Day. Unfortunately, the race Director has been taken ill on holiday and will be unable to attend on the day. Please be assured that this decision was not taken lightly, but coming so quickly on the back of our main race the Stur Half and falling on a Bank Holiday, when many of the club are away, we cannot guarantee to organise the event to the standard that we would wish to put our name to or that you would expect from us. Our apologies also go to Poole Running Club who I believe have nominated this race as part of their club Championship. If you have pre-entered the race, we will contact regarding a refund of your entry fee as soon as we have access to the paperwork. In order to try to prevent any runners unnecessarily arriving on Monday, we are attempting to broadcast this message as widely as possible via email to clubs, our website and social media. We would greatly appreciate it you were able to help spread the word also? We hope that by cancelling the race in good time, you will forgive this enforced “gap-year” and we hope to see you once again on August Bank Holiday Monday 2015? Yours in running Duncan Ray Dorset Doddlers
