Dear Sania Mirza Your rise up the tennis rankings was a nothing but a marketing ploy by the WTA. You should remember that the best you could achieve in a grand slam was the 4th round, and that is not the hallmark of a great tennis player. And I am not even talking about the time where you limped out of the Olympics, where probably for the only time in your shitty career, you played for the country. Ask yourself, before self proclaiming that you are the daughter of the country, what have you done for India and Indian sports. Ask yourself, whether you deserve the tag on the day when the country celebrates the Vijay Diwas, where we fete the real daughters of the nation. All you have done is that, you shamelessly misappropriated an idiotic comment by a brain dead politician, to get free airtime and publicity. To get attention when you are getting none, because your tennis career, to be mild, is in absolute doldrums. Also, I give a free suggestion for you. Apply to get into the Big Boss house. They need publicity hounds like you for TRP. You will fit right in. And finally as a country we seriously need to introspect the position and honour accorded to sportspersons. For me their contributions are vastly overrated. They are abstract, unquantifiable and in most cases totally imaginary. We have much better people to honour and fete. Particularly on the Kargil Vijay Diwas.
