Dear Sedona friends, Four months ago, or so, we saved the life of a beautiful older yellow Lab from MCACC. She was scheduled to be killed the next day. Because of her poor health, the owner surrendered her for euthanasia. Rather than allow her to be killed in the cold shelter, I wanted to provide her a warm and loving home, a place to die on her own, peacefully and surrounded by caring humans. I drove down and got her, had her seen by a wonderful vet in Cornville, Scudder, who said she would have a pretty good life with some veterinary care. We had the surgery and rehabilitated her... she is now doing just great! Her appetite is good, she is *the* sweetest girl ever and shes even playful now. There is a but... we have three other dogs and cannot keep her long-term (we expected her to die soon after we brought her home).
