Dear Student, Please note an important change in procedure with immediate effect: From 2 December 2014, the main insurance cover for UCL Institute of Education (IOE) is provided under UCL’s insurance policies. Travel claims relating to trips occurring prior to 2 December 2014 will be handled under the old IOE policy. Travel insurance from now on will be provided by the UCL Insurance team. All IOE students travelling overseas for study purposes (for example PGT and PGR students undertaking international field work) should access the form and guidance here: ucl.ac.uk/finance/secure/fin_acc/insurance.htm. You will need your UCL user ID and password to log in. Clicking on the “brief outline” link on the Insurance home page provides a summary of the insurance policies together with links to further details and “to whom it may concern” letters summarising cover. The Insurance home page also clearly sets out the guidance and a link to the short application form, which must be completed and submitted 7 days prior to travel. Please remember that, as previously, your travel form needs to be signed off by your Supervisor (for PGR students) or Programme Leader, and by your Head of Academic Department.
