Dear ThunderRidge Parents and Students, Throughout the past 10 - TopicsExpress

Dear ThunderRidge Parents and Students, Throughout the past 10 years, the opportunity to serve as the Principal of ThunderRidge High School has been, by far, the highlight of my professional career. Over time, ThunderRidge has evolved into one of the top high schools in the nation. This achievement is a celebration and direct result of the collective efforts and commitment exhibited by the entire ThunderRidge High School community. Our climate and culture is blessed to have students who are caring, confident, and committed to their education; distinguished faculty and devoted staff who care deeply and work selflessly to ensure every student has an opportunity to succeed; and parents who are active partners in their child’s education and without hesitation spend countless hours, as volunteers, to support a variety of school organizations and programs. These attributes exemplify the qualities of an outstanding high performing school community, OUR school community… ThunderRidge High School. Embodying a great sense of pride as a ThunderRidge Grizzly and member of our outstanding school community, it is with mixed emotions, I share with you that I will resign my position as Principal of ThunderRidge High School at the end of the 2013-2014 school year. I have accepted an exciting career opportunity with Aurora Public Schools as the Director of the P-20 Learning Community. In this new position, I will actively supervise the development of a feeder cohort system that will support several elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school. As you can imagine, this has been an extremely difficult decision. With deep appreciation and gratitude, I want to personally thank you for your support and involvement that has created a caring climate and culture that respects all members of ThunderRidge High School. I am so proud to serve a school community that takes such pride in their elementary, middle, and high schools! Next Steps! Our District will immediately begin the search and hiring process for the new Principal of ThunderRidge High School. Information about the process or participation in the process will be shared through our webpage, Facebook page, and weekly messenger. If you have any questions or suggestions, please contact the main office at 303-387-2000. In closing, the students, faculty, staff, parents, and school community will forever leave an lasting imprint in my heart, soul, and mind. It has been a distinct honor to serve the students, parents, and community of ThunderRidge High School. I will forever be a GRIZZLY at HEART! Warm Regards, Carole
