Dear USA and fellow Iowans, Im sorry for Joni Ernst. As one - TopicsExpress

Dear USA and fellow Iowans, Im sorry for Joni Ernst. As one who did not vote against her I bare part of the blame for her being in office. I truly apologize. However I stand by the sentiment that her being in office has no real effect on the system. My Conservative friends like to slam Obama and lump all Liberals in with the likes of Michael Moore. They are wrong. My Liberal friends like to slam Boehner and lump all Conservatives in with Rush Limbaugh. Also wrong. As one who claims no political affiliation I have come to terms with the fact that both political parties are meaningless and just another way to separate the American population and keep us fighting one another. Just like race and religion these divisions are a falacy. Almost no one IN government actually wants a smaller, less powerful, less intrusive system of government. They just want to be in charge of the government. If they cared about the American people they would raise $200 Million and use it to help struggling American families, veterans, students and the everyday working citizen. Instead they raise twice that amount to put towards their own political campaigns while simultaneously sowing fear and distrust in one another and whatever elected official currently holds office. We are a broken country. But like a family when part of it is broken, instead of throwing it out and breaking it further I believe we can come together in a spirit of love. Across lines of race, religion, economic status and political beliefs we can join one another to heal this country. America was once the greatest country in the world, the envy of everyone else on the planet, and we can be again. I dont have the answer, and no one person should. America is a melting pot. If we bring our minds and spirits together we can fix this broken country. We the people, by the people, for the people. God bless America.
