Dear Vincentian Missioners, Peace of Christ! The Vincentian Popular Mission (VPM) of the Congregation of the Mission-Philippine Province will hold its 6th National Convention on October 22-26, 2014 in San Roque Parish, Subangdaku, Mandaue City, Cebu. In line with the celebration of the Year of the Laity, the Convention takes on the theme, “Vincentian Missioners: Called to be Saints…Sent forth as Heroes.” As missioners in the spirit of St. Vincent, we are sincerely inviting you to take part in this important milestone of the Popular Mission. The blessings and abundant favors we have received throughout the years in mission give us more than enough reason to celebrate and thank the Lord for His generosity. In the same light, the challenges of the mission ahead necessitate our zeal and commitment. It is therefore imperative for us to also gather and prayerfully envision our response. In these days, we will reflect on history so as to craft a clear and spirited vision for the road ahead. We will set up guideposts and landmarks to help us respond more vibrantly to our missionary call. With one heart, we dare to be open to the promptings of the Spirit on what is asked of us in this Year of the Laity. Registration is free. We will best accommodate you in the simple and generous homes of our mission-partners. However, you will shoulder your transportation expenses in reaching and leaving Cebu. As soon as you arrive, we will welcome and take you from the Mactan International Airport or the ports of Cebu to San Roque Parish. May we also request you to bring something that represents your region as a souvenir for your foster family and fellow missioners.
